Scenario:
Two offices
Using NO_IP DUC for static IP

Now women resigned at office no.2 and I need to access network drives and Printers so that I can do all her work as well (bloody convenient if you as me)

I read in forums that VPN does not work so great on ADSL, or does it??

Is there a way around this to get Point to Point access without Turdcom knowing it?

Tried Megalan a while ago and that never worked, so it's back to the drawing board for me

Any suggestion will be great

Thx

VPN works great for me -- using Secu-remote client to Checkpoint FW-1 as well as native XP to Freeswan / IPTables. Use self-signed x509 certificates for authentication.

I would never share SMD resources (Windows drives & printers) across the Internet without putting appropriate firewalling and encryption in place. Just too risky & too many visuses that exploit Windows shares.

There are many technologies that provide point-to point connections over the Internet -- IPSEC is just one and probably the most temperamental. PPTP, L2TP, GRE -- the list goes on. Even SSL tunnels are possible and easy with open-source software.
