So I don't know too much about TV's, but I'm looking to buy a new one.
I've got R15000 to spend.
What is the best TV I can buy for this price?
It's going to be a living room TV. The room is well lit though with a lot of natural light during the day. So good brightness and wide viewing angles are a necessity. 55 - 65 inch.
I will be watching DSTV, Netflix and Youtube, no gaming.

What would you guys recommend?

55 or 65 inch. Although at the price I assume 55 inch will be best.

Best value for money is Hisence and their products are not far off top brands and in some cases better. Go for one with high Hz to prevent ghosting

For 1080p (FHD) the best viewing distance is between 1.5 and 2.5 times the screen's diagonal measurement.

For a 55" that's between 2m and 3.5m
For a 65" that's between 2.5m and 4m
With 4K tvs you can sit closer as the pixel density is higher. Although content in 4K is not as widely available as 1080p.

That will give you some idea of the size screen that would be best for the room size.
