Hello!

i am now in Egypt

i have E303s-2 HiLink ,tried so many firmwares to unlock it but finally learned it was running a custom firmware by vodafone Egypt "Firmware : 22.157.78.00.37"

anyway i was successfully able to upload :

E303HiLink11.010.06.02.910
and
UTPS21.005.20.02.850_MAC21.005.20.02.850_LNX21.005.20.02.850_myModem.in
and
UTPS23.001.07.06.910_LNX23_myModem.in

the modem accepted all these versions

but there is a slight problem with the modem default UI page

it return with this long link as soon i plug it :

http://192.168.1.1/html/home.html?u...l=http://192.168.1.1/?version=22.001.16.01.37

all i wanted is to unlock the modem and run 2 different major service companies (mobinil or etisalat) instead of vodafone egypt.

Those file names you have there arent named normally. Where did you download them from? Hi-Link firmware versions normally begin with 22....

I'm assuming those are firmware files that you posted and the version numbers seem to begin with 21 and 23 which are normal non Hi-Link firmware. I could be mistaken but from my experience Hi-Link firmwares always start with 22.

It very difficult to suggest a solution as I dont know what you really flashed here. And flashing files randomly is just asking for trouble. Assuming you flashed a normal non Hi-Link firmware, I would think flashing to a Hi-Link firmware would get you out of the situation.

I would suggest trying the "Huawei E303s-2 22.158.13.00.73 Vodacom" or "Huawei E303s-2 22.157.18.00.858 2020" from this page.

Hi-Link Modems also use the WebUI which you can try as well if the above firmware flash doesnt work.

Try "WebUi Huawei E303s-2 12.012.02.00.03 normal" from this page.

Thanks for the fast reply Nospheratu

Dear my Guardian Angel "Nospheratu"

just known someone like you with this kind of experience is priceless

let me tell you first a little story to get you in the situation ,i picked that E303S-2 Hilink from the Friday market in the old city Alexandria/Egypt for 10 pounds (7 pounds = 1 dollar)

when i bought this usb device i was playing my luck and i was very happy when i plugged it for the first time and that little green led came on after that the UI interface came on the screen with the big word VODAFONE.

I then tried different network sim cards but with no luck i noticed there was a lock screen with 0 left unlock key trials.

i am a very fast learner and i like reading a lot so i took my chances to try to unlock the modem and use a different network.

i have tried everything and all things the normal and crazy ways without the knowledge that you have until the first post that i was asking for your help..... from you especially and by name...... because from your posts that i found on google i followed you here to this forum.........you are the best!

since yesterday i am a different man trust me.....you will see

***************************************************************************************

i didn;t know that i needed 2 firmwares packages ....one for the modem itself to keep it running and the other one for the user interface for the hilink version.

since i learned the 22.xx is for the hilinks i was successfully flashing every one even for model 3131 modem except few ones.

i discovered that the error i am getting and still get is from webUI versions ....the one that is really missed up and at the same time is for the hilink is called and has a "Dashboard_E303HiLink11.010.06.02.910_3Ginfo.ru.7z" and the password is "NiRaV".

i was able to get the unlock code for the modem in md5 and from the "NEW ALGO CODE".

but for some reason the dc-unlocker version 1.00.11.54 refused/didn't take the hash and took the "ALGO" instead and typed on terminal "OK".

i learned also that the modem was running a custom firmware by Vodafone Egypt.

Now what?!!

yours
Sam

Huawei_E303s-2_WebUi_HiLink12.012.02.00.03_3Ginfo.ru.7z ....done!

"Huawei E303s-2 22.158.13.00.73 Vodacom giving me an "error code 19 download failed"
when i uninstalled the com drivers from the device manager and installed it back again i got a different error message "error code 13 current firmware 22.157.79.02.37

"Huawei E303s-2 22.157.18.00.858 2020" giving me an error " current version unkown"

my modem use to be:

Model : Huawei E303 HiLink
Firmware : 22.157.78.00.37
Hardware ver. : CH2E303SM
Web UI version : 11.010.06.00.37
also the counter shows 10 wrong unlock codes out of 10

Sorry for not replying sooner. Have you managed to solve the problem?

Flashing to an older firmware is exactly the same as flashing a newer version, unless I'm missing something. Are you not able to find a copy of that version?
