I want to connect my Gamecube to my computer screen because Metroid Prime 2 will only work on a 60hz TV (and mine is 50hz).

Is this possible?

Thanks

What type of monitor do you have?

If you have a decent graphics card that can take an A/V input, your answer lies there. Otherwise you need a TV tuner card with A/V input, but this typically gives you crappy results unless it's a really decent tuner card.

Thanks... Let me check when I get home tonight.

The monitor is a LCD Acer 22inch.

The graphics card was top of the line in May 2005. Yes, I know that's a long time in terms of graphic cards. I know it doesn't have that shader thing-ma-jig version 3. But it may have an A/V input.

Otherwise, what's a good tuner card. How much should I be willing to fork out for it?

Oh, and thanks again

I've connected my PS2 to my pc monitor (Samsung 226BW) via an external tv tuner box called the compro video mate v300 (bought from take2.co.za).

I had a genius tv tuner card before but the quality was pathetic compared to the compro.

Basically the compro doesnt require your pc to even be connected at all, just your console, monitor and the compro box.

Check it out for yourself :)

It's been a while, but about R500 should get you a decent tuner card.

I'd still recommend getting an AGP graphics card that has an A/V input though. I remember my old FX5200 had that.
