Help cops catch these men

Johannesburg - Gauteng provincial police have released pictures of four men linked to last week’s Bidvest Bank robbery at Cresta shopping centre - and stumped investigators are calling on the public to help find them.

Clear images of the suspects were taken from the bank’s CCTV footage, depicting three of the men wearing beanies and the fourth in a white baseball cap. They all appear not to have noticed the camera.

On Tuesday last week, more than six armed men entered the bank pretending to be clients. They then pulled out firearms to intimidate staff. Police say they stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the mall in a grey Opel Corsa.

Media reports suggest that the bank’s security system prevented a lot of money from being taken.

While no one was seriously injured, staff members were traumatised, and the bank provided counselling for them.

Police in Gauteng are appealing to members of the public to assist in identifying suspects believed to have been involved in the Bidvest Bank robbery.
 
Um, you would think they could give us a slightly larger picture? :wtf:
 
Seems like the bank's cctv footage only capture thumbnails. They deserve to be robbed :p

Because the majority of mybb members hang out with black people or around them, as evident by most of their posts :p

i'm surprised some members don't think they all look alike :p
 
Csi okes would have a 1080p picture out already. Seriously how hard can it to take those pictures and make them 1080p? You may even be able to spot a mark to help or a tattoo, from there someone will know the tattoo looks like it was done by an artist he/she knows. If they didn't help i am sure a strand of hair or a cigi butt will give them dna, run the dna via a database boom match. Also those beanies may be some sort of odd material that only a few places sell. CSI team would never need help from a forum or facebook with so many options to trace these people. Does anyone have have that photo of the csi team enhancing an image of a license plate and then seeing the person's face in the reflection? Classic :D.

Case closed. How hard can that be?

Slack police force. At the very minimum the cops must have a program to up the resolution, it won't make it much clearer but thumbnail size i am can be re-sampled to at least be an a6 or a5 size :D.

Can't tell if Killadoob is serious or sarcastic?

You do realise that when the guys in CSI on tv "enhance" images to bring up detail that it's impossible to do that in real life right? You simply cannot "enhance" the data in an image to increase the detail. If the bank is running low-res cameras you can't scale it up because the data isn't there to work with in the first place.

CSI on TV =/= CSI IRL

You could clear the images up to some degree via interpolation techniques but nothing close to what's done on CSI :D

Btw, killa was joking.
