help creating online game in COD 4

Guys i am trying to start a server online not dedicated and have no freaking idea how to do it. I do not want to play on someone else's server but rather want to create my own. My IP is dynamic and have no idea what i am doing. I am sorry if this has been posted or answered but i cannot seem to find the right way. I go to MP and create a new game (internet) but then others cannot see it.
Please help

Thought about your firewall perhaps? Maybe one of the ports is blocking incoming activity. Its normally the UDP

But is it possible to just host an online game like that from my own machine without going through a public server? Can i start an internet game like starting my own lan game? If so then how? Do you just start new server and thats it?

Start a new server and that should be it. Just check which ports need to be open from the documentation.
