Hello mybroadband.co.za! Have been struggling with ADSL in SA for some time now, primarily due to a string of
unfortunate situations. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post for help with line diagnosis etc. but hopefully a mod will point me in the right direction if it's not. I am currently holding an account with Axxess, they are handling my data (4Mb uncapped account) but not my line, which is still "handled" by Telkom. I have begun to notice reoccurring ping in several video-games such as Dota 2 and CS:GO, wherein the in-game ping will spike for several seconds and I will be unable to do anything for around a second before things will return tomorrow. Looking for some insight and help into what might be causing this. Again, apologies if I should have posted this elsewhere.
PS: Attached a tracert to Mweb below:

looking at your hop 2 latency of 7ms, i would say your exchange/line has no problems at this current time.

Considering you are on Axxess which uses the MTN Business network, I would recommend trying an ISP 1 gig account such as this - http://crystalweb.co.za/free-trial.php - where you can test your gaming latency and see whether it is an ISP related problem rather than a line/exchange problem.

Excuse the belated reply, you were correct in assuming it was the ISP. I changed over to Crystal Web and things were perfect up until I moved. Thanks for your help.
