See if you can take it to another pc and see if it works. You told me you ipdated the bios, was it before or after swapping the drives?

XP could not boot just a bluescreen of death for a split second then the pc starts booting over and over. All the other drives are ide. i think your plan of taking it to another pc is the best idea. Looks like im going to have get another ide dvd unit if that does not work, it will probably work out cheaper rather than taking it in for repairs.
