Hi

I have an excel spreadsheet, that when I open it, it is all blank, but it is definately not an empty spread sheet. there was data in it yesterday. Does anybody know of a recovery application/procedure that may help. Busy googling now!

TIA

B.

Does anyone else use that file, as it sounds as if they saved over your file with a blank worksheet :(

If thats the case I dont think you can recover the file.

are you sure it's gone? maybe it's just not visible. press ctrl + home to make sure. sometimes you can go page down all the way.

Look in the folder where you save your documents for any orphaned temp files... try renaming those and opening them in Excel... one of them might be a leftover of your file....

Failing that.. use one of these two utils to undelete them temp files... or an older version of the file...

Use this program...
http://www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete/
or this one...
http://www.undeleteunerase.com/

Do not install those programs (or anything else) to the drive you want to recover from... or your lost files will be overwritten. Install them to a different drive or to a flash disk. Then run them and let them scan for the files that have been deleted.

open the file then click on window on top then click on unhide,

I had the same problem a while back and tried all kinds of recovery apps and then i had look around all the options in excel and tried this.

It happens that someone could have clicked on hide or something

Try it maybe it works
