I "upgraded" to 5.0.1.66c today. My bootloader is 4.2.1.8. Unfortunately, now I'm disconnecting every 30 seconds or so, then reconnecting automatically. As I did not have this problem under 5.0.1.60, I would like to revert back to that application. I cannot seem to locate this file...I tried under the ProASM utilities, but I keep getting the "Unable to locate this webpage" error. The file under the old Unreal.co.za address is also invalid. Any links, or ideas what could be causing this problem? Menlo Park tower, BTW.

Link doesn't work

That's the link I was using. Clicking it gives me a page not found error. Tried it on two machines, as well.

Crud the "edit" function not working. I meant to say I clicked the link to 5.0.1.60, but that leads to a page not found message. Clicking on .66c link brings up download box, but the .60 link does not, for me.

I can't et to it either - Page cannot be displayed.
ProAsm is there something wrong with the link?

The link works fine.
I checked it on both Mywi and ADSL.
Try going to the site then click the links to the downloads.

Also try clicking my signature.

5.0.1.66c version firmware has bugs

I have experience very slow through put speed with this firmware version.

I upgraded to 5.0.1.68 and it seems to have fixed my problems. Downloading happily at 22KBytes/s on international, signal also a lot more stable. 256k MYWI.

I can't imagine why you'd get this happening to you (then again, I'm no programmer nor do I have any kind of inside track that a Sentech employee may have) ..but what I DO have is a shopping list of jobs I've done all around JHB with modems I almost invariably push up to this firmware configuration. Bear in mind this is where people have parted with their hard earned dosh - and if (not so much when here, really "if"!) something goes wrong, I'd get called back to fix it - this very seldom happens (as in: I can't recall a single case of it having happened)

Actually (because I'm inclined to over-compensate and try to remove ALL possible problem vectors) I'd first (re)flash back to 4.2.1.8 and then redo the app loader. As to ProAsm's site not working for you, per his instructions I went and checked his dl's out - no worries there! But if it still refuses to work for you, PM me your email addr and I'll happily mail copies of the files you may need.

Per my reasoning above, I'm inclined to suspect your local setup there; I've not seen/heard/been crapped on by clients ;) with this configuration at all!

Lastly, I see from Special Ed here that there's a newer version: 5.0.1.68: I'm going to flash my modem and a few around town (where each upgraded modem talks to a different tower, so as to get the widest coverage for the test) up to this version and see what happens (hopefully I WON'T have to end up making multiple calls to fix things!:D )
