As mentioned in the subject... :)

I am currently looking for a SanDisk as I understand they are the best and most reliable. I am open to correction if any of you peeps think there is something better though.

Minimum requirements are 32GB and Class 10.

I currently have a 16GB in my Galaxy Note, and due to screen size I have started watching movies quite a bit on it. 16GB starting to choke a bit now ):

Class 10 will be hard to find locally, and very expensive, although I'm sure a place like amazon will have in stock and will have a much better price.
Otherwise class 4 is perfectly fine for watching movies off of, and the 32GB are +- R260 incl vat at esquire now.

Each manufacturer has something they call "Class 10" - They are not the same between Kingston and Verbatim, at least.

Rather check on transfer speeds or reviews.

Don't bother with the Sandisk, you are just paying for a Lexar product with another sticker

Try Loot - http://www.loot.co.za/shop/main.jsp?page=detail&id=17745605082928
R354 is a bargain imo and includes delivery!

You can find it cheaper, but it is usually not cheaper anymore after you have added the shipping fees.

This is an awesome price. Gonna check them out.
EDIT: Thanks :)
EDIT2: At checkout they said expected date of dispatch is 28 May. Bleh. Not going to wait that long.
Free delivery to PO counter. I prefer to door which was R67 (Not bad).

I ended up going with http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/product_info.php?products_id=70586
Get it tomorrow.

Thanks for the input guys.

The SD card class rating is only for write speeds if i remember correctly. Read speeds are the same across the board.

The Speed Class Rating is the official unit of speed measurement for SD cards. The class number guarantees a minimum write speed as a multiple of 8 Mbit/s (1 MB/s). The SDA defines several speed class ratings, but manufacturers may claim conformance to those ratings without independent verification.

Mobile piracy? I love my sgs2 +, 32gb. 4gb file limit circumvented with 7zip :-)

Lol... No - no mobile piracy this side :)
I am a flashaholic and movie fanatic. I keep a lot of ROM's until I am certain I will never go back to them again or I get stable upgrades.
4GB limit been a problem yet cause I use VidCoder to convert my movies to a format suitable to the Galaxy Notes screen. A typical 4GB mkv ends up at around 500MB.

Not a bad price from Sybaritic.

Was your 16GB class 10 also? Please tell is if you could notice a speed difference when copying files to/from it etc.. I am looking for one for my tablet too.

The 16GB is a Class 4. So hoping to notice a pretty decent difference.
Will report back when they arrive and I have fiddled. Hoping this afternoon.

I like small flashdrives, so I use microsd cards combined with a kingston reader to act as my flashdrive. You will 9 times out of the 10 notice a speed difference between a class 4 and a class 10. The class 4 is rated as such because it will always write at a speed of at least 4MB/s. My class 4 cards would always let me wait when I was copying stuff around so I switched to class 10. I have a bunch of class 10 microsd cards and they all hover at a write speed of about 11-15MB/s depending on what you are copying. Thousands of smaller files always messes up the speed.

Cannot wait for the 64GB MicroSDXC cards to start showing up locally :D

For a card reader, full speeds should be realised. I wonder how fast the phone will be in comparison? Waiting for Mike's review :)
