All three phones are excellent. I've owned both the Note 3 and I currently own the 930... Windows Phone was a nice change for me

G3 has crap battery life.

The Note 3 is probably the best of those, but you're probably bored of Samsung by now.

I'd say try the Nokia. Will make for a nice change of pace.

Oh missed the recommendations part of your post. Definitely Z3 Compact. No contest.

i looked into the z3 compact,
just the screen that i dont like, will like to go full hd and a bigger screen

as i have a 4.7" 720p atm

Do not waste time with a Windows Phone - it blows, because it has an empty app store.

My recommendation would be the Note 3 or Sony Z3 Compact.

thats what made me dubble think of the 930,the supported apps

where android is available on most of the phones so lots of apps and comparability

seems like the z3 compact is a popular choice will look more into it as i havent looked into it alot due to the screen size and res as i got 1080p and 5"+ in my mind

so far the note 3 wins

Get a normal Z3 then, the "Compact" isn't really all that compact anyway. It's just the size big phones were 2 years ago.

Or wait until beginning of March when most manufacturers will unveil their 2015 phones at Mobile World Congress.

If you don't like the new stuff, then you can still get a 2014 phone at possibly discounted prices due to the new phones.

My Samsung Galaxy S3 fell on New Years Eve. I've replaced it with a R500 phone I bought on new year day at CNA (one of the only open shops) and I plan to use it until March before making a decision. But maybe that is just me...

I had a Iphone 5 and A Samsung S4, at the moment I have a Nokia 1320 and a Huawei P6.

Iphone/IOS is the best by a huge mile.

Windows phone is a clear second, The WP build quality is very good, Nokia Camera's are always good, the phone is smooth as you will get, the battery lasts 2 days on very heavy use, The phone simply works beautifully.

Android on the other had.....Well I rate the P6 better than the S4, but in all honestly I cant really recommend either, the battery is not good at all, You cant scroll down Facebook without the phone lagging, browsing through HD photos causes lag. the touch screen is not as responsive as Iphone/Lumia, The whole phone/OS is just not an pleasant experience.
Apparently the Note3/4 does not do this, but why must i have a phone with 8 cores and 3gb ram costing 10k, when a Lumia with a dual core and 1gb ram outperforms it....
The apps on WP are also not that bad, sure it does not have all the apps Android/IOS has, but go and have a look, this far the only app i use that could not get is the ABSA app, besides that it has everything my Android phone has, Facebook, News 24, SterKinekor, IMDB, Supersport, Shazam, Skype, Whatsapp, Multiple Navigation apps, Cricinfo, Adobe, it comes with Office....

Windows Phone/Lumia is very under rated, and it can (and will) only go up.

Samsung is not a good phone, too much bloatware and no software support after 2 years I would say.

It really is a k@k phone, that's why i said i prefer the P6 above the samsung, much better build quality, less lag, even the smaller battery last longer...
My one friend has the Note 3, and i have to admit its far superior to its "S" range, think the S stands for Schit.

read a bit seems like WP is alot smoother than android

1520 same as the 930,but better battery and screen size, :)

just 6" wont fit that well in pockets :(

i used the LG flex alos 6" and its a bit big for one hand use

It has a bigger battery because of screen size, i'm sure the battery test will be very similar, but yeah basically same specs, If i could choose i would take the 930 over the 1520. Currently i have the 1320 which is the exact same size as the 1520 which is honestly to big.
Problem is once you work say 2 months on a 6" screen, going back to 5" is quite the adjustment. I got the P6 since i wanted a phone I could handle one handed. I still almost exclusively use the 1320, primarily because of the screen size, well that and the phone has absolutely 0 lag.

between the two what is the fastest and just the best to use overall?

The 930 is clearly faster and has no lag when in use... Best to use is totally up to you - personal preference.

I've had enough of android and WP has all the apps (minus one) that I use so no worries about apps. If you're worried about apps, use your browser and go to the windows store to see if the apps you want are there :)

got a phone for a high price range,

if i want to keep paying what i pay now R250pm

what phone should i get then
200-300 price point

non good phones in that aria that i like, but im open to suggestions

Yep. If I were you, I would take Sony Z3 Compact because Note 3 is a bit outdated.

EDIT: Never mind :)
