Heya. I currently have an agp, radeon 9600. Someone has an X1300 that they want to sell for R200, the problem is that the display adapter:confused:(the part that you plug your monitor into) is loose and from boot, the screen shows various lines, pixelations and distortions.

Just wanting to know if this is fixable? and if so, where could I get it fixed?

Thx in advance.

You could get it fixed if the circuit board is not broken. If it is simply a broken connection, you can get it fixed. Not sure where (I fix my own stuff), but one of my other brothers from a different mother migh know where.

Sounds like something that is only fixable with a soldering thingie + lots of luck.

a x1300 is hardly worth anything,
and probably not worth the time taken to repair it, even if it is a solder job.

venom, personally i would keep the 9600, the difference between the two is hardly anything from memory, although the x1300 does support AVIVO which does a bit for video smoothing when watching dvd's etc.

Hmm thanks for the info guys. Might as well just overclock the 9600 then.....
