HELP! How to start a ISP?

I saw that axxess has a good reseller adsl price and had the idea to start selling to my family and friends!!
I would like more info (forum) or something similar to get info from with regards to :
Hosting/ADSL website builder
Where to make free/cheap 3 page websites using a Website builder
And any site worth the read ...
I have been all over Google but nothing to the point?

What exactly are you asking here?
Are you asking about how to become an ADSL reseller, a hosting reseller or how to design websites?
 
For ADSL reselling - yes axxess offer one of the best packages at the moment.

For web hosting resellers - most hosting providers provide reseller packages - the main players include Web Africa, IS and Hetzner.

For basic site builders - there are loads of free web based packages. Yola mentioned above prob one of the better ones. Many linux reseller hosting accounts include something like RVSitebuilder. Though - they are basic!
 
If you are selling to family and friends, why do you need a website?
 
So that there is no, "I did not know that's". and most of them are scattered across SA

With regards to reseller hosting packages, we can assist you with this along with pointing you in the right direction with a website such as Joomla / DotNetNuke.
As for reseller adsl, go with Axxess or simply resell Afrihost's packages.

In short, you need a lot of money :)

But, here's some points to keep in mind:

  1. You'll need a budget, and a business plan if you want to go big & get a bank loan. Don't just jump in and hope you're going to make millions right from the beginning.
  2. have a prospective market to approach. you'll need to build up a client base to recover costs
  3. have some competitive, or niche market products & services
  4. offer excellent support. many companies lack in this area
  5. be prepared to go through a few learning curves and spend some "school fees"

And then just enjoy it :)
