Help, I'm uneducated !!!

Hi all,my first post after being on this site for years

So I am 30 years old but don't have an education
In grade 9 I was "condoned passed" i left and went to an fet college done a bridging course then done N2 electrical engineering ,got my certificate then lost it

I have been working in the mechanical engineering/tool making field for the last 10 years and I wish I could study something that includes mechanical design part of it (big part of my current job)

Not sure if I must do my senior matric certificate (apparently it will take me 6 months during night classes ) or if I should start from the bottom again and start with N1 mechanical engineering

I will have to study during night classes or Saturday classes as I work full time

I would like to study all the way up to N6
So if I do my senior matric will I start on N4 ?

Does anyone here know someone who has been in the same situation or have any suggestions on my options

Electrical Engineering N1-N6

The National N-Diploma in Electrical Engineering consist of a theoretical part (N4 - N6) and two years industry related experience. Each certificate is a qualification on its own but for a full qualification you must obtain all.
