Currently don't have internet access and I simply cannot launch these games as social club can't verify my login. With gtav I tried gtavlauncher -scOfflineOnly but no go.

Trying to search for solutions on a phone is a pita.

PS I'm one update behind on gtav from what I can see.

Help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Have you tried to place -scOfflineOnly in commandline.txt

Social Club will still try to launch though, but the above solution worked in the past, you have to place commandline.txt in the main installation directory.

Guess I'm too slow, you posted just as I started typing the same thing.

I created a commandline.txt with contents of scOfflineOnly. When I open gtavlauncher I select the offline option but then it brings me to the social club signing window which just biatches about not being able to find the rockstar servers with options to retry or cancel.

Man... Why are you always struggling with GTA V???

Sorted!

Got a cheap USB WiFi dongle, turned my phone into a WiFi hotspot, logged into social club with the "Remember Me" box ticked and offline now works.

Remember me was enabled before but updates probably reset it in the past some where...

From all the GTA trouble you've had I'd assume you will buy any future games on Steam not the Rockstar Social Club.

Was a box retail copy and I wanted to save time on the 60GB download but yeah next time I'll avoid it like the plague and just do the steam thing. Wish you had the option to convert it yo the steam version...

What happens if you redeem or activate it on Steam? (I forget which one.)

Only saw your reply now, glad that you came right. That is why I mentioned that the Social Club will still try to launch. I did not have GTA V installed at the time so I couldn't do a quick test, but I have a Steam copy. I am planning to get back into the game, those role-playing servers are hilarious.

It is a great shame that Take Two took down OpenIV.
