Help me find these things...

Me too. I should've bought it a long time ago. It's so lovely typing with this :D

The one I have now is softtouch and is great but there are a few buttons missing and I have sanded the whole thing down so that I can spray it black cos it was a sickly poo brown colour

So now I have no letters on my keys which makes it difficult :p

Getting some spray paint tomorrow but I am way keener for a new board and for some wireless at last...

Lol. My previous keyboard's prints were also starting to disappear and some of the keys needed harder pressing than others. It was a Digitech
This one is Microsoft and damn it's lovely. It was R160 and the all the keys actually work, something that the Digitech was not capable of

Get the Enermax Aurora. Probably slightly over your budget, but well worth it. Regarding the mouse, get a Logitech MX1000. Slightly old, but still a very nice mouse. This too might be more expensive as I haven't followed prices so forgive me if it is.

Like the look of that Aurora....Are the keys soft and where can I find these items?

What is this "softtouch"? I can't find any info on it so it can't be an industry standard... rollover is far more important especially for games and these keyboards are usually ergonomic as well.

The keys are just like laptop ones, low-profile, quiet and you don't have to hit them hard to make them work...

You sure about that? I have never heard of that in my life before :p

Scissor-switch keyboard
On a scissor-switch keyboard, the keys are attached to the keyboard via two plastic pieces that interlock in a "scissor"-like fashion, and snap to the keyboard and the key. Scissor-switch technology does not use a rubber-plunger assembly like most other keyboards. Scissor-switch keyboards are normally responsive and crisp. These keyboards are generally quiet. The keys require little force to press.
This keyboard technology is mainly used in laptops.

I don't have a pc anymore (just a laptop), but I still have the keboard -->Logitech Ultra X. It does have "soft touch" keys but it is wired and colour is silver & black.

When I sold my pc I kept that keyboard because I absolutely loved it:D.

Edit: I've also not heard off the "scissor switch" term before. Oh well, you learn something new everyday:).

Edit2: The diNovo wireless mouse and keyboard set on the Logitech site looks nice, but costs $200:o But there are some cheaper ones there.

That does look nice, if a bit pricey :o

I might well end up keeping this old board of mine for a while longer and going for a decent wireless mouse if I can find one that recharges and doesn't cost a small fortune.

I am doing well. Got a Labtec wireless mouse from IC for R250 which claims 2-3 months of battery life- we shall see about that.

And today I found pretty decent wireless Phillips headphones with rechargeable batteries at Musica for R250.

Good stuff :)

so if you see some chap at the beach with all wireless .... say howzit to Henry :p:D
