I want to redo my alarm system and I want to make it wireless... I have a decent understanding of how alarm systems works... Now the only thing I am not quite sure of is I am going to get this wireless receiver Wireless Receiver ... Now my question is will any wireless 433mhz Motion Detector/Pir or Door contact work with this receiver
Like this one Wireless Pir/MotionDetector

Yes I know the wireless receiver is useless on its own...I already have a Main control board and keypad...I actually already have a complete alarm system...I wanted to add a few door contacts and Motion Detectors and thought while I was adding new stuff let me make them wireless because I found out a alarm system with wires is a massive pain in the @ss...If anyone ever decides to buy a alarm system do yourself a favor and please go with a wireless system it's not cheap at the beginning but long-term it will pay for it self...I am going to end this here before this turns into a rant...Ps it's already

I found out a alarm system with wires is a massive pain in the @ss
Yet it is far more robust and secure than wireless when installed correctly. With wireless, an attacker can simply use a 433Mhz signal jammer to disable it, the same frequency as those used in parking lots to prevent people from locking their cars. I have also found that the cheaper wireless systems are prone to false alarms.

My system is currently 10-12 years old so I have gotten good use out of it...But it's starting to show its age one of the most recent problems is the panel receiving a panic signal from one of the panic buttons (theirs 2 and no they are not stuck) and setting the alarm of constantly to a point where it got so annoying they were disconnected...and also another reason for wanting to go wireless is because the main control board needs to be moved because it is currently in a part of the house that was converted into a flat..

433Mhz....why the **** does everything run on 433Mhz? I recently learnt even tyre pressure sensors transmit on 433Mhz and can be easily fooled to fake a flat tyre.

Perfect now me and my family can sleep well knowing our home is safe...only problem is the closet Leroy merlin is about 1500Kms from me...
Sarcastic
be careful with the china alarms mostly they run at 315 mhz and not 433 so not so lekker in SA .
mostly 433 is the only frequency allocated for that type of thing in SA .no ICASA sticker is a dead giveaway that its not lekker .

You are not going to be able to mix DSC and Paradox.

That wireless receiver is for a DSC system and you are linking to a Paradox PIR.

DSC has a full range of wireless PIR's and door contacts.

In fact, if you have a DSC system and want to go wireless I have just replaced my wireless DSC system with a brand new wireless Paradox system. I have everything you need for a DSC system that I was going to sell on Carbonite for a steal. Let me know if you want to buy some stuff.

I had a wireless Paradox system installed when I moved into my house. Didn't really have a choice as it's a flat roof house and there is no ceiling/loft access to run wires.

The previous owners had a complete clusterf@^*! of wires everywhere which was a complete mess so I replaced all the PIRs with wireless ones but kept the door sensors wired and some existing outdoor beams.

Works just like a wired one imo, had a issue recently after I had my roof redone where one of the upstairs PIRs would drop out (likely due to some of the new roofing material) so I had a repeater installed in the garage and now it's fine.

PIRs take 3 AAA batteries that seem to last quite a while, only replaced batteries on one of two of them in a year.

What is the make of your alarm panel?

Try:

Is where I purchase my alarm and accessories. I have wired, because I know it is better than wireless, yes I had to get into my ceiling, but now I dont have to worry about it being jammed or batteries etc.

Wireless should not be the default, unless it is not practical to run cable.

Hope you left enough Ratex in the ceiling to take care of the local rodent population

Cheap cheap
Been using one of these for last 3 years or more...No issues..

BUT you will need to learn some Chinglish to get it going!Gives me a call if there is movement and then I can check on my CCTV whats going on.

What does the proximity of the store have to do with anything? We have these things called couriers these days.
