Lets start from the beginning,
This morning I start limewire up (Its a decent program, dont moan, and it has always been working) for the first time this month. Lo and behold, it wont connect! Update it, still wont connect. Disable Bitdefender, no difference. So now I am quickly running out of options. And it has always worked before!
So being the end of the month, I though I might as well download Bitdefender 2009 sceptical that it would make a differnce but it was worth a shot. I install it and everything, fine. Try Limewire again, still no difference. Just shows a whole lot of hosts that it is trying to connect to. Download Frostwire, same story, try Ares, also just tries to connect. Note the rest of my internet accessing apps work just fine.
So I try and get into my router, and here I encounter another problem, I had it ages ago but it sorted itself out then but it wont now. I go to 10.0.0.2, type in username and password, hit enter, blank screen! I cant get further than that. But if I enter the incorrect password, instead of the blank screen, it just stays on the same screen but says bad password, which is what it should do. I try through safe mode, I can get into my router, forward the ports for limewire to 6243 which is the default setting for limewire. Restart. No difference. And I still cant get into my router.
Does anyone have any idea of what I should do? It cant be the new bitdefender because it wasnt working before it. Although I am gonna uninstall it because it is ****.
