Help me pick LCD for my XBOX

I'm in the market for a new LCD.

1. Looking at 32" since my living room is not that big.
2. Don't mind 720p/1080p, since on a 32" you wont notice a difference anyway. I'll rather get a 720p that has better quality picture than 1080p that's washed out and blurry on motion.

What I was looking at so far was
Sony V series (720p) -> around R9k
Samsung Series 5 (1080p) -> around R10k

So please, any suggestions, thoughts, recommendations

I got myself the 32" Samsung series 3 (720p, upscaling technology so it can almost pass of for 1080p) in December from Makro and I couldnt be any happier. It was going for R5999 at the time. Xbox looks great on the TV, the LCD looks stylish in my living and it didnt break the bank. I think they go for about 7k now but your best bet is to look in the multimedia section of the forums. LCD's are discussed there.
 
Save money, get great value and go Sinotec dude...(5year warranty, best service I've seen from any SA company so far)
Especially since it's mostly for Xbox (I presume), you don't need all that fancy unnecessary crap the higher end brands put on their screens to coax people into buying.

The image processors tend to be better on the higher end brands (Sony, Samsung etc.) But my experience has been that people usually end up turning those features off (especially when playing games) and I cannot justify spending 2x as much for that.

Don't take my word for it though. It's just been my experience so far.

Game had the Sony T series the other day for R5999, only 720p but upscaling to 1080p and it almost looked like the real thing.
 
get a 32" sammy.

if you were to go for a 42" though, i'd say go with a sinotec.
 
you can get full hd 1080p 108cm/42" sinotech lcds for R9999 every now and then at Hi Fi corp. Great bargian imo.

or you can get it at that price NOW at makro, and about R8500 every now and again.

Game also have these R8000 specials.

I got myself that LCD and it is pretty good. It's an entry level Sony with one HDMI port. It does the 1080p thing via HDMI only, if you're using composite it only does 1080i. I use it with my PS3 and it performs pretty well.
 
Sinotec rox.

I love my 47" Sinotec. Best buy I've ever made.
 
I believe the 32" Sinotech at Game/Makro is R5499. Great buy IMO

+1... 47 Full HD inches of pleasure for R12K! :p
Too bad I dont have a BluRay player yet, damn Intel graphics card on my new work notebook can't even output 1080p :(
