Help me play online

Hi

I have an xbox slim and would like to start gaming online. Currently I cannot get an adsl line installed as telkom doesn't have sufficient infrasructure in my area. What I do have is a laptop with a built is modem, hence 3g coverage as well a usb modem. I've tried sharing my internet connection but cannot seem to get it to work. Could someone please help. Thanks.

I use that router along with my 8ta 3G to connect to XBL, and it works like a charm for me.

Thanks, so Ive managed to source a router to use in the meantime. Tell me does anyone know if a vodacom sim will work in a 8ta usb modem?

It should, I believe you can gooi vodacom's software on a 8ta drive.
Probably best just to take it to Vodacom themselves to sort out.

Depends on the game, but 3G isn't the best option for playing online.

Let's say an hour of BF3.

an hour of BF3 will be quite hectic I think because there is a lot happening so a lot of data has to be synched between the console and servers. Remember that BF3 online has HUGE maps (sometimes I can run for about 2 minutes without even seeing an enemy before I start getting contact. Think it through before you start playing on a pay as you go basis. You will very quickly get tired of topping up.
