The Samsung, well cause they make awesome monitors... also R2600 is crazy expensive you can get a lower model the S23A300B for R1800 from Pczone no idea how you would get it from Durbz though, if you drive down from jhb to durbz to pick it up it would still be worth it :D but then again the Samsung from pczone has 5ms response time which isn't really good.

Also I'm pretty sure you will get pounded by customs if you import.

Of course, the type of game doesn't matter, it's how fast the frames are displayed. The refresh rates are mostly theoretical anyways, since all normal LCD displays actually work on 60hz refresh rate, which means 16.666 milliseconds. Frames will never switch faster than that, unless you use a 3d monitor at 120hz, in which case it's 8ms. Only if the display can't keep up with 60fps will you see blurring (which is what I meant, ghosting is something different). Bear in mind also that different manufacturers measure the response time differently... For example the 2 or 5 or 8ms they quote is normally grey to grey response times, not colour pixels, which take more time.

I just bought the Samsung LED which you have linked.

10/10, best screen I have ever owned. the pricetag is silly though I got mine for R17?? incl VAT from Rectron

It is shiny :)
 
Yup, we bought from IC (bought like 40 of them, so got even more discount).
 
You won't really notice the difference between 5ms and 2ms imho...
