Hi guys, this is my first post so please be gentle.

I'm using Vodacom GPRS and have been trying to set up Gmail's POP3 on my phone with no luck after discovering that SonyEricsson phones don't support SSL/TSL encryption which Gmail requires.

So the next step is for me to forward my Gmail to another adress and download it from there...question is does Vodacom have an incoming mail server where I can forward my mail to?

I've been looking all over their website and they ain't talking about email.

Please help me out...it would be nice to get my email on the road.

There is no Vodacom incoming pop3 server, just an outgoing SMTP server, smtp.vodacom.co.za.

Can you not forward to another free mail service and download from there?

Easy

vodacom sukcs ass when it comes to email

Go to hotpop.com setup an email address, you will use this as a waiting room. for your mail.

then just set up you current email address so it fowards all your incoming mail to your hotpop account.

Connect using: Internet.GPRS
POP3
Incoming server: pop.hotpop.com
incoming port: 110
mailbox: your-hotpop-username
password:
outgoing server: smtp.hotpop.com
outgoing port: 25
email address: obvious

save, now you can receive and send emails.

[email protected] email me if you dont understand.
