I need to transfer 125gb per day over the net. What size pipe do I need? I say a 5mbyte/s connection will be sufficient. Am I wrong?

125GB of traffic a day, you are going to need roughly a 12mbps Pipe which is calculated as follows

12Mbits / 8 = 1.5 MB per second Transfer
1.5 * 60 secs * 60 mins * 24 Hrs /1024 = 126.5625GB Per Day

Hope this Helps

That's if he's talking about a 12hr working day.

We can look at 24hrs, the data can be collected onsite during working hours, and sent during the entire 24hours. Make sense?

Thanks guys. I'm also gonna investigate how much it's gonna cost to put my own dedicated fibre link in between my kit and the client's premises.
