I've been waiting and waiting for Chaos Computers to get new graphics cards in stock, but all they have is the old series cards.

I'm told I should use Wootware, I don't mind doing this but I have questions. Do I pay them online? Do I have to? I only have a debit card so it kinda scares me.

Anyways, I want to upgrade my old HD 5670. She has been my baby for the last year and she really punches above her weight.

But it's time to replace her because my 1080p monitor is too much for her to handle.

My other system specs.

z68 mobo with crossfire support (gigabyte z68 apud3)
8gb ddr3 in dual channel
i3 2120

antec hcg 620w

What you guys think? Is the Radeon 7770 good enough? The 7870 is far more expensive than the 7850 and I don't know if I can afford a GTX 7 series car yet.

Budget limit is R3800 but the lower the better. I don't mind running crossfire either.

Your best option would be a Radeon 6870 crossfire. Wootware has them in stock for R1600 each. It will run the most demanding games, BF3, at 1920x1080, with great framerates and offers better performance than a 7970. If you could've stretched your budget a bit you could've got a 560Ti SLI setup which offers around the same performance as a GTX 680.

You can get a GTX580 from esquire at that price.

Many places will allow you to do a EFT but they will only ship once the funds have cleared.

All you have to do is an EFT. Wootware has an account with Standard Bank, ABSA, FNB and Nedbank. Let the bank fax the proof of payment, print the transaction with a pdf printer, mail that to them and your order should ship within 2-4 bussiness days, depending on stock quanties.

I buy from Wootware regularly. They even bumped my 2nd day delivery to an overnight delivery, free of charge, only because they had a stock issue with the supplier.

You can pick it up at their office if you don't mind driving out to Somerset West.

Can I do an EFT with a Post Bank debit card?

I don't know, I doubt it - they don't even have sms notification. I use them because my dad works for the post office and I'm supposed to 'ondersteun' them.

What year is where you are?

Less sarcasm: get an account at a new bank.
