Help me with some GPU settings

Updated some old drivers and am not sure what settings to use.

Old laptop but still good for old and even some new games, not that I play that often.

These first settings are I think for 3D settings.
The following options:

- Auto-select
- High-performance NVIDIA processor
- Integrated graphics




The second option says the following:

Select a PhysX processor:
- Auto-select (recommended)
- GeForce GT 540M
- CPU





Do I change settings based on what I'm doing, like normal internet browsing vs gaming, or just leave the settings and forget about them?
