Help - Need Idea's for a date

Hi all,

I am in a bit of a bind, I usually don't start these kinds of threads but am at my wits end, been googling and surfing trying to plan a day out for me and the lady. Its not as easy as I thought, also I have promised a day to remember.

Im in JHB and dont mind travelling around JHB, please guys any/all ideas are welcomed, Its for tomorrow btw :(

I was thinking the zoo till about 3 then a picnic at zoo lake and maybe a row boat on the lake?

Just want to gather as many ideas as possible and really make it a day to remember :)

Yes zoo lake. Thats where the rose gardens are? Its awesome in winter. Kinda creepy but cool.

This is so predictable, a bit of a yawn and corny... Remember, this guy promised 'a day to remember' ... How about we raise the stakes, literally... How about a hot air balloon ride? If you can arrange it fast enough... Depending on how deep your pockets are... You can take her to fancy restaurant in Sandton at the Michelangelo Hotel to end the day... You can also take her horse riding, did that with my woman two years ago, she absolutely LOVED it...

Yes corny, but I have limited options due to my lack of forward planning... Money isnt really an issue, but she has a fear of heights so balloon ride is out :) We did the fancy restaraunt thing last week, I want something different as opposed to what we normally do. Botanical Gardens/Zoo lake is perfect.

And that is only the location, has nothing to do with the itinerary and other things that go with for the day...

Plenty fun to be had for the not so snobbish in just about any environment.

Sorry, but I think a day at the zoo or botanical gardens will be much more memorable than a dinner at some fancy restaurant.
 
Pack a nice lunch, rent a golf cart and just relax as you go.

Hot air balloon rides? I'm not sure that many people would consider waking up at 4am (as that is when they mostly take off, before sunrise) a good start to a date. It's not cheap either.
 
Full day at a spa for the both of you?

On a similar vibe as the zoo/botanical gardens, you could go to the Rhino and Lion nature reserve, they also have the wonder caves which you can check out, and horse riding trail

Go Carts, that's cool, and make sure she kicks your ass.

My wife kicks my ass anyways, or an advanced driving course at Kyalami, a chick who digs stuff like that is a keeper.

It was a second date guys lol
I had the most brilliant idea of sushi at rainbow norwood
Only to find out shes allergic to fish

So we went to Dros lol –went well thou;)

Well did the JHB Zoo, Rowing on Zoo lake at sunset and diner at my place and it went 100's! Thanks guys :)
