Help ! Need low latency international

I have just returned from the US after 7 years. I am very fortunate to retain my us employment.

I signed up with axxess for a 30GB account. Everything works very well, speed is acceptable - until I try to use vpn to open remote desktop on my machine in New York. I have two different vpn aplications I can use, my preferred one is Morgan Stanley's customized AT&T connection which allows me to use remote desktop natively and all windows keys etc. works as normal. Using this vpn client makes it basically useless, with repsonse times of about 2 seconds - try programming and typing when characters appear 2 s later ! The other is a citrix client and the response time is about 1 second, better but still almost useless.

I've tried to search this forum and the internet to find an alternative, but with so much gobbledycook, it's almost impossible to make sense of it all.

Bottom line is, I think I need fast, unshaped, uncapped and low ping international bandwidth. Can anyone tell me if this is achievable ?

I've already purchased a billion 5102sm modem and have a D-Link DI-624 wireless router that I brought with me from the US which is working just great.

I also work for an overseas company via VPN. You have to get an unshaped account for international VPN. You are wasting your time with the shaped account. I know from personal experience. Unfortunately, you are going to pay a lot if you want both unshaped and uncapped at the same time. Why do you need uncapped?
 
Before you go spend to much - might this be a solution?
Why not try and using a Unshaped Proxy server.
I think currently it's only MrBeeps offering that at Openweb , but soon Clipse will also offer it 4 free. See this thread

The jury is out on whether VPN access will work across these. I would suspect not.

I need uncapped because I cannot afford for my connection to be terminated or throttled as I am an employee of Morgan Stanley and not being able to work will definitely put my job in jeopardy.
 
If you run out, just get another account. It is R500 per pop (a pop = 4GB) at the moment, so it will cost you to run out, but will not be the end of the world.

What do you do over the connection, that you need more than 4GB? I only used up mine because I played some Battlefield 2 as well.

How do you quickly buy another account. Chances are I won't use up the whole 4GB, but since I am working for the biggest investment bank in the world, I cannot wait a day to get another account.
 
I work for A Small Company. You'll Have To Wait Another Day For Another Account. Welkom To Afrika.
 
You can see on your usage statistics when you get close to the limit on your current account. :)
