EventID 41 is usually a timeout waiting for a device to respond. If it started just after you started using your WiFi, then it could be driver related and you should get the latest drivers. It could also be hardware related, and is sometimes the result of blown caps.

I would go here for these sort of problems though, since they will definitely know more: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/

Have you done all the updates? Including the optional hardware updates?

Good advice. I'm also of the opinion that it's either a software driver that is malfunctioning, or it is the physical hardware that gave up the ghost.

Microsoft update should not be where you get your device drivers. You should go to your manufacturer's website and download the drivers for your specific hardware there, if they are available.

A lot of device manufacturers have not yet released updated drivers for Win 7. The Microsoft drivers are fine to use (and a lot of them ARE supplied by the device manufacturers anyway). If you get them through Windows Update you can bet they work and you can safely rely on them. That particular feature of Win 7 has been much improved.

Sounds like incompatible hardware, try unplugging the wifi card and see what happens? Go and grab another card to test with, the internal ones are cheap +- R150-300 for a B/G card.
