Help need with LG DVD writer

Hi Guys

I have a LG dvd writer which only write at max X4, it is a X12 writer, I only use Verbatims X16, but my writer only go max X4, the same disc write X8 in my laptop because it's a max X8 writer.

I'm look for the thread which touched on this subject a while back, I search the thread as far as page 39 and can't find it. if someone or a mod can put a link to that thread please, thanx

IDE or SATA?

Check that Ultra DMA is enabled if it's an IDE or try setting the jumper to master or slave (as your setup requires) as opposed to "Cable Select"...
