I tried posting this on the wanted section of classifieds, but have not had any positive replies yet. I am getting a little desperate
I have two hard drives that have both had a chip burn out on the PCB. I am trying to get hold of the same model hard drives form other people who may have them, and have had boot failure/mechanical failures/bluescreen errors etc.
I want to try salvage the PCB's from their drives so that I can at least recover the data stored on these two drives I have.
Drive details
Drive 1) HITACHI DESKSTAR 160Gb
7200RPM, 164GB IDE DRIVE
MODEL:HDT722516DLAT80
Drive 2) Maxtor 40Gb drive ( need to get model number....will edit in later as drive is not with me now)
Please if anyone can help, I will buy their old drives from them....
