So we upgraded to fibre recently and will be cancelling our Telkom copper landline. The current ADT (security company) setup isn't compatible with fibre so we need to install a radio system.
I'm a little confused on what does what so maybe someone can help. Specifically the difference between Standard radio and GPRS radio. We only have 3 zones and I'm not sure what they mean by "open/close notifications (sms’s)". I will also e-mail them back as well but thought someone here might've gone through this process already.
If it helps, we have quite an old alarm system.
Here's the part of the text from the e-mail and a pic of part of the contract further below:

Should you choose the Standard radio you will be charged an annual radio network fee of R129.16 including VAT for the remainder 2019, if you choose the GPRS radio your monthly fee will increase with an additional R60.00 .This is due with your next debit order run.
If your alarm has more than 32 zones partitions or open/close notifications (sms’s), a GPRS radio will be ideal for your alarm system as a standard radio does not accommodate these functions.
Please select the option between Standard radio and antenna and GPRS radio.
The R402.50 including vat applies to the radio installation during office hours only. Should the technician work/add on to the alarm you will be charged the full callout fee of R 632.34 including vat excluding equipment.
