Help needed from someone located in the US

I have a US Google play gift card, but I can't redeem it as I'm not in the US. Even if I use a vpn and have a US google play account.

So I need someone located in the US to redeem my gift card and then pay for my Disney Plus subscription.

I was thinking that the person must create a new Google account, then use that account to redeem my gift card and use that email address to subscribe to Disney plus. Would this be the best approach?
