Morning all
I have just relocated to Durban (Telkom Overport Exchange). When looking for houses I found one that was currently being used as a business and had 2 incoming lines. These were moved by the previous tenant to Durban North. I then submitted a move line application for one I had already in Durban. Only to be told sorry there is no infrastructure and no plans to expand!
They offered me the LTE option which would never work, but as I was desperate I took an interim contract as I run an online business and need good stable connectivity of approx 200GB per month, I could not just have nothing till this is resolved.
After trying the LTE option I realise this is never going to work as it seems to block sites and work sporatically.
I have also looked at microwave - no line of site. No fibre, Looked into VOX and a few others but no reply as yet.

So the assistance I am begging for is someone in the know to get me details of someone in the infrastructure department of TELKOM to see if I can at least get on a waiting list which the stores and call centre will not even do. I cannot believe that an area like the one I have moved to does not have availible ports/lines. It is residential and no new developments are in the area.
Any assistance and guidance will be appreciated.

Hi there
I was trying to access a FTP site where price lists of one of my suppliers are stored and it came back with DNS, proxy and Firewall issues. To name a resent one.

I also have issues getting to my US server host, keep getting errors which I know are access related.

Telkom guys on holiday now. Best way to get help from Openserve directly. I recently moved to Pinetown and had no issues. Surprised Morningside has those issues :(
