Hi

Tried to make vodcom aware of the issue, but they replied "no open issues in my area, please ask friends if they experience the same issue".

Seeing i don't have friends using vodacom lte data I'm asking mybb forum members to help me out testing vodacom SSL.

I created a script that pings 3 ip's and openssl s_client connect to 3 https servers, and if the avg ping is above 250 ms or the openssl connect fail it write info to 'com-test-output.txt'

Source code available on gitlab and I created a windows distribution zip file(13MB) just execute 'com-test.bat'. You can also git clone the repo and run `python3 com-test.py` on 'n *nix/cygwin platform.

it does the above every 60 seconds you can change that in 'config.ini' by changing 'sleep_loop='. Also if you don't want to ping change 'ping_ips=' to an empty string. It can also do speedtests but its disabled in the config(you can enable it).

I tested the scripts on 3 machines, 3 operating systems and 2 different lte routers using two different mobile networks and only vodacom gives me 'WARNING-SSL'.

if you can run the script for half a day or so and paste the 'com-test-output.txt' in https://pastebin.com/ and drop the link here or pm it to me, it would be greatly appreciated.

To even help more do a traceroute to 8.8.8.8 so that vodacom can see how the traffic routes.

Even if you don't get any warning or errors and you executed the script let me know, because then at least we know it is localised to certain areas.

After i find 3 vodacom customers with the same issue i will put the data in a nice sheet and send it off to vodacom, in hopes that they will fix their proxy/intermediate device that is breaking SSL connections randomly.
