Hi there all, hope someone can help me. I flashed the unit with the mobile partner, cause I am having some issues with my one PC. So after I did this, and I could not connect, I found out that mobile partner does not work with this model. So.... How do I get the vodacom software back onto the unit. ????

This is where it all started for me, now I get " error IMEI" when it installs. I trier the E172 from VC site, but it cannot do the update. So at the moment the modem is a brick, and I reallu need it to work. :(

So for someone who needs help, you are providing very little info to actually help you. Please confirm the exact model number (some have -Z and -H attached to them) as well as all the steps you followed from which sites to get you where you are now.

Ok, then, it is the Huewei K3765, it says nothing about a -z or -h, but the driver is for the huewei (spelling ?). I went to http://3g-modem.wetpaint.com/page/Hu...(Vodafone) , changed the software on the device to "mobile partner" it loads, but cannot connect. Last night I installed VMC 9.4.6.20529, and I downloaded the seperate drivers for the card. I got it working, BUT, I want to re-flash it with the original vodacom software. I want to remove mobile partner. so back to my first question, how do I remove mobile partner and put VMC back ? on my old E220, it was easy. But for this one, I cannot find the software on the VC site, does anybody know where I can find this?

Your best bet would be to hunt around on the international Vodafone sites to see if any of them had an update for that modem that you can reflash it with.

I know the horse has already bolted, but for the benefit of others this illustrates why things like flashing firmware is not to be taken lightly.

Nice find JimM. The dashboard Update from that drop down looks like the VMC dash.

Thanx for the help, just downloaded it, will try it. The reason I flashed it, was because I was having issues with my one PC not wanting to work with the modem, and I learned from past experience with my E220 that the Huewei software was VERY stable, thus my reason for trying to load it. I think it might actually work, cause I think my issue is with the setup of the profile. But thanx all, and wish me luck.
