I would really try to put some more copy on your home page as this is what the search engines generally favour over images (I’m glad to see that you do have alt text on these images). I suggest aiming for 100-300 words per page. Also use text links in your navigation and not images (if possible). These changes would require some redevelopment but the results should be more traffic. Have you done some keyword research based on competition vs. search? Try using www.keywordtracker.com and Google Trends for this as a quick and simple search and then try to target some of the keywords that have more search and less competition (most site ownes will be doing this already).
Start working on getting inbound links from blogs, free directories and even forums like mybroadband. You can also try list with www.sleeping-out.co.za and www.wheretostay.co.za but I’m not too familiar with these sites or how much this will cost for a listing.
Have you listed www.3ll.co.za on Google Maps? I did a search for "guest house in Johannesburg" and didn’t find it, although there is a lot of competition.
Another suggestion, not related to the site at all is to register with local and international travel agents, if you haven’t already done so.
Other than that there is a lot of good advice already mentioned. Good luck
