My brother bought a new phone(as a stand-by phone just in case his main one got stolen or died on him) in October but a month later it just died on him and MTN gave him a new one. The new also died on him a few days ago.
Now he's tired of taking the same phone model for repairs because of their faultiness. What i want to know is, is it possible for MTN to give him a completely different model/brand with a similar price to avoid receiving another faulty unit like the last two from them?

not to sure about what you are asking but out of curiosity what is the phone in question?

What goes wrong with the phones.

According to him, the first few days they work fine and then start overheating with little use like Whatsapping or browsing the net. After about 5 app downloads they start to lag horribly. He turned his off because it was lagging to a point where it was unusable, but when he turned it on it's stuck on the Android logo during start up.
The fix they couldn't fix the first one and that's why they gave him a new one.

You buy a schitty phone, you will get a schitty experience. Those phones are truly horrible. Get something else.
