Help! I have a weird problem - starting this morning I can no longer ping our WDSL static IP from an external Vodacom connection. Is there some sort of peering problem?

I can connect to our firewall via a Telkom ADSL but not from anywhere on a Vodacom connection. I also note that the Telkom connection routes to our iBurst WDSL via London.

What's todays story? Who do I speak to? Vodacom or iBurst??

The tracert from Vodacom is really weird as it seems to be circular:

Tracing route to 41.213.2.242
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.2.99
2 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 41.0.25.73
3 13 ms 13 ms 13 ms 10.117.0.190
4 191 ms 191 ms 189 ms 41.0.246.6
5 189 ms 191 ms 190 ms 41.0.246.6
6 266 ms 266 ms 265 ms 10.117.0.10
7 446 ms 988 ms 444 ms 41.0.246.6
8 518 ms 518 ms 518 ms 10.117.0.10
9 696 ms 697 ms 696 ms 41.0.246.6
10 785 ms 770 ms 770 ms 10.117.0.10
11 950 ms 948 ms 949 ms 41.0.246.6
12 1023 ms 1023 ms 1023 ms 10.117.0.10
13 1200 ms ^C etc.. etc...

I'll ask the techies to check but that looks like Vodacom has done something wrong.

Edit: Defintely a Vodacom issue. Someone who has them as a service provider needs to log a ticket as we don't peer with them anymore. We'll see what we can do by emailing them.
