Help on a Rig

Buy some of that sound damping material they sell at car places, cut to size and stick it down.

Ok will give it a try

I only came across one review that commented on the heat of the silencio 550, the rest said it's fine. I have just ordered a new rig with a silencio case, its an i7, only using a ati 5760 so will probably not generate as much heat. But hoping it will be fine.

Please let me know how it is? Thinking of the Silencio 450 but not sure if any good

Hey MK8,

I could put a quote together for you for the build, if you're interested. The only thing that I'd need clarified would be the budget. What does the R7000 budget apply to? It wouldn't be possible for me to put together a spec that would be sensible that included either the HD7950 or the i5 3470 at that price-point. I could however, recommend a very good configuration in that range, around R7,5K, including i3 3220 Dual-Core and GTX660 as alternatives.

Thanks:), but will probably be using the guys over at RebelTech. I do know that i may need to save a bit more becuase of the graphics card and processor. So trying to get the best bang for my buck and hopefully buy middle of Nov.

Anyone know if the Antec One can fit the HD7850 Sapphire 2 gb?

The Antec One supports up to 10.5" graphics cards. Any of the current Sapphire HD7850s would fit.

Which exact model of HD7850 from Sapphire are you considering?

HI Everyone,

The only things outstanding for my rig are the Case and wireless usb dongle:
Anyone have any other recommendations?

Thanks

Budget for the case?

500 to 900 or so. Main reuqirements for a case is:

dust proof / washable dust filters
as silent as possible
can fit all my components well.
Something to last a while and can include additional HDD and SSD etc.
easy cable management
keep components cool
looks good
strong case
good reliable brand/make

Thanks

Also looking for something similiar, any recommendations?

Also if a tower has a 200mm fan instead of a 120mm in the front, what is the noise difference? I assume the bigger fan doesn't have to spin as fast to move the same amount of air so should thus be less noisy?
