My brother wants to buy a laptop second hand from another chap this is the specifications, what do you think is a fair price?

Packard Bell laptop

1.66 ghz dual core
80gig hd
512mb ram
ati x1600 256mb graphics
dvd rw

How much would you buy it for second hand?

Somehwere between 2000 to 3000 I would say depending on condition.

That's easily remedied with an external mouse. Brand new laptops start at around 3999 these days if you look around and they're newer technology.

How old is it?
spec wise, 2.5k to 3.5k seems reasonable...
