Help please - advice re generator

Hi guys, can you please advise me. We just bought a 2.5 Kva generator as I work from home and need to keep my laptop powered up during loadshedding. We plan to also connect the TV and maybe a light if the power is off in the evening. Is it ok to run my laptop off the generator?

I don't see any reason not to, but just to be safe you can connect it through a ups.

Your laptop works on direct current, whatever happens with the output from the generator will affect the part that works on AC, which is your charger.

Generator needs AVR support for constant voltage and add UPS for extra protection.

So get generator with AVR included + UPS and you good to go.
