Hi guys,

I hope someone can help me fix this issue. Ive been trying/googling for hours without any success :(

When I start my PC I get a blue screen that says,

"""
Recovery

Your PC couldn't start properly

A required device isn't connected or cant be accessed

Error code: 0xc000000f

...
"""
I have a 120gig SSD with windows 8 on it and a HDD connected to my PC.

Ive tried doing a system repair, refreshing my system, changing disk labels, disconnecting my HDD, safe mode etc.

Ive even installed Windows on my HDD just to check if my SDD is working and it is as I can go into my SDD from my OS on my HDD no problem and access all my files.

I have no clue what to do now :(

Some extra info,

I haven't changed anything, hardware or software wise in the last few days. It was working fine last night and when I turned it on today it says the above. I wouldn't mind deleting the whole SSD and installing a fresh copy of windows on there but I purchased quite a bit of LTC yesterday and forgot to backup my wallet right away as I was really busy the whole day yesterday.

I just need to get into my desktop, backup my wallet and then I can do the fresh install if need be.

Im willing to reward anyone who successfully helps me fix this with BTC or LTC.

Thanks in advance guys I hope this is the right section

You say you did a system repair, was it from the win 8 cd? Did you disable boot from ssd and selected to boot from your cd?

When you booted into windows from the hdd, could you do an error check on the ssd in the properties?

Also what is your sata mode on?

Hey man, thanks for your input :)

Yeah I disabled the SSD and then tried to do a system repair from a win8 usb drive. Failed.

I did the error check on the SSD when I was on the HDD OS and there were no errors...

Im on IDE SATA mode. These are the options

This is what the settings are on over there,

SATA Mode IDE Mode (AHCI, RADI option available)

Serial-ATA Controller 0 = enhanced (Compatible, disabled option)

Serial-ATA Controller 1 = enhanced(disabled option)

S.M.A.R.T. Status Check = Enabled

Not sure if this will help, but change the SATA mode on your SSD from IDE to AHCI?

I know if you installed as AHCI, you can't run IDE and visa versa.

Have you tried putting the ssd in another pc? I have an old laptop running win8 and was surprised the other day when I put the drive in an old pc and after a longish first boot it actually worked fine. That may help determine if it's the drive at fault or if it's some other pc hardware. Worth a shot? You may even be able to do the backup from the other pc...

Thanks for the advice and tips guys, someone from carb helped me get my LTC back, thank goodness. Now Im not sure if I should just do a clean install of windows on the SSD or try and fix the issue.

It doesnt boot, just get that error message. Whats funny is that while logged into my HDD OS I can use the SSD and access its content no problem.

Thanks, Ive looked at this already. Have to pay like $40 for it

It's either a corrupted RAM sector which will only crash when it's used, or a corrupted sector on your SSD... Run a disk check on the SSD and as you can boot use the instructions here:(http://www.cnet.com/how-to/test-your-ram-with-windows-memory-diagnostic-tool/) to test your RAM

I ran a disk check on the SSD while booted into my HDD OS. Everything looks fine, ill run the RAM test now. But while booted into my HDD OS im able to use my PC 100% even play some LoL without any issues.

BSOD = 99% chance RAM failure
