Hello all!
I had a friend bring her laptop to me yesterday (I can't remember the exact model but it was a year old HP) as she has been experiencing some problems with it. When you turn the laptop on it completes the bios check and then the screen goes blank forever (the backlight is still on though). Any ideas of what the problem could be or how to diagnose it?
*My first idea is to connect and external monitor which will likely give me quite a bit of information.

- The laptop has a virus as I discovered through her flashdrive.
- I tried to get into the bios but this didn't work. I only tried once though so it might work
