Hi there,

I downloaded the update last night, and installed this morning. All went fine, finished install, rebooted. Now it is showing my desktop, with my folders, and the top menu. No bottom bar. And the spinning wheel. It has been doing this for about three hours now. What can I do?????

Thanks

Ok. Messages
- Incorrect number of file hard links
- Orphaned file inode (id = 3931634)
- Volume Macintosh HD was repaired successfully.
- Updating boot support partitions for the volume as required.

Do I just leave it now? Doesn't seem to be doing anything.

When it's done, and it sounds like it may be, try rebooting.

No problem - happy to hear it was successful.

I'm glad Apple went this route with a recovery partition. Prior to this you'd have to hunt for your installation disks and do it from there.

Have a look for a program called AppleJack - It seems to be compatible with lion.
