help please modem works router doesnt

Hi

Help please i dont know what the hell is wrong

My adsl modem works only when i connect it directly to my pc and run the pppoe connection. But if i plugged it to the router (with the correct user/pass) it doesn't connect and says internet offline

modem is Zylex p-600 series, router a dlink DIR-300

in the router log it says:

May 14 22:51:31 PPP: Connection terminated.
May 14 22:51:31 PAP authentication failed.
May 14 22:51:29 PPPoE: Received PADS for session1. (Session ID: 1b2b)
May 14 22:51:29 PPPoE: Sending PADR for session1.

and keep repeating that all the time. The pppoe connection configuration in the router is set without a server name nor MAC address

What's wrong??

Another important thing is that the connection was working yesterday and today was down (died during the night, no idea why) and still is!!

Dang! Have you tried resetting to factory defaults and set the router up from scratch? With our power supply here in SA I've had a LOAD of issues with clients DSL working one day and not the next. But yours is weird in that it works connected to the PC. I would flash with the latest firmware and set up from scratch, then trouble shoot from there.

I reset my router to factory defaults... still doesn't work

I also tried updating the firmware but with the new version still doesn't work

I talked to my ISP and they told me that the modem doesn't had any restrictions to number sessions (i read about this posibility in another thread)...

WHAT CAN I DO??

router works with neightbours connections... any ideas??
