Hi all!

I need some help please?

I bought a new computer installed windows 8 and I'm really strugling to install my old mtn modem. Its the Huawei E220 hsdpa modem.is there anyone with the same issues? Or I'm I missing something? Or am I wasteing my time with old software?

Which operating system did your old computer have?

Did you ever come right with this. I'm trying to set up a new laptop (windows 8) with an old modem (E220), but the machine can't seem to see the device. I've tried flashing the firmware, but even that can't find the device to do it.

I managed to get my E220 working on Windows 8 using the following directions: http://internetgadgetandtricks.blogspot.com/2011/09/huawei-e220-drivers-for-windows-7-64bit.html

I didn't need to download the drivers (I already had it on my modem), but using the device driver steps allowed Windows 8 to see the device. I updated the firmware before trying to connect (firmware I downloaded here), but it could well have worked regardless.
