I use Nod32 antivirus and ZoneAlarm Pro firewall to protect my laptop.

Recently, after its weekly scans Zonealarm has been identifying Win32.Application.Adware.Toolbar.Baidu as a trojan. The pathway is C:\Program Files\Power Manager\WinIo.dll

If I scan with Nod32 it does not identify the trojan

If I tell ZoneAlarm to delete it I lose all or part of my Power Manager and am then unable to switch on my WiFi modem.

Please recommend a course of action

Winlo.dll

Thanx so far but I dont have a problem replacing winlo.dll once ZoneAlarm has deleted it. I just re-install it from the disc received with my laptop. What I want to know is:

  • Why does ZoneAlarm not stop the Trojan coming in before it goes and attaches itself to the Winlo program?
  • Why is Nod32 not finding the Trojan?
  • Maybe the "Trojan" is harmless afterall and actually belongs there. Is ZoneAlarm not perhaps confused?
