I installed Ubuntu 9.04 and everything was fine, then i started doing some updates, and I did the ATI/AMD driver update, and then i restarted my computer and all of a sudden my display is all fscked up! Any1 know how to restore or rollback to previous?

u serious? so everytime i have a driver issue i need to re-install? that doesnt sound like a good idea... no other way i can re roll drivers?

Uninstall it from cli. Use the Vesa driver. The older driver should still be in your cache I think.

I don't know if this still applies to 9.04, but i remember from my 5.04 days that there was a command you could run from the root login to reconfigure Xorg.

Went something like

sudo /etc/init.d/X11/xorg-server --reconfigure

I don't think that is exactly right, just to be safe pop on over to http://www.ubuntuforums.org and see if any of the gurus there have an answer for you.
