Help. I need some some info. I am trying to d/l a .rar file from rapidshare but reget or getright keeps downloading the page and not the file. I copy the link in and start but then it only does the page.

Help please
Do i need my username and password in these managers?

Only very little/specialized download program support rapidshare. I suggest you go and open the page, download with your normal browser.

If you download with the rapidshare premium account, then you can use download manager, free download unfortunately no download manager.

I am on premium and when i click the link or paste into my browser, it tries to d/l the actual page not the file

Never use reget or getright before, but just try to put in the rapidshare username/password in the option for the file you are trying to download.

Um, I've used it with Getright and a premium account without hassles or having to type the password in anywhere. As a last resort, hold down the shift key when you click the link, most D/L managers see this as a sign to ignore the link and your awesome browser downloader will take over.

Far as i know you must keep in ctrl, alt OR shift and click on the link WHILE holding one of these buttons in....
This way reget wont download, but open the GENIUN page...once there,
you just click normal on THAT link

Most download managers rely on the cookies in the browser(most cases that's IE) to work properly, meaning you must be logged in to rapidshare in your browser, and also enter the details into your download manager, those details are used for making additional connections to the server and for resuming downloads.

All of the above assumes you are using a premium account.

For the record I use Orbit, it's freeware

Go to www.softarchive.com, Search for IDM (Internet Download Manager).

It is BY FAR the best Rapidshare downloader for me. But you need to use your user/pass with it, then just Copy URLS into it. Get crazy speeds with IDM. Hope it works for you aswell.

Yep been using IDM for a while now and it's the best downloader for Rapidshare.

Yeah IDM is definitely the best download for Rapidshare...

Rapidshare rocks, for us on iBurst that cannot P2P.
